Genomics and Computational Biology

Genomics and Computational Biology (ISSN 2365-7154) is a peer-reviewed and open-access on-line scientific publication based at the faculty of Biology of the Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany. The journal considers articles covering all aspects of genome biology, including molecular, cellular and medical genetics and using Computational methods/Bioinformatics for data analysis.

We publish the following article types:

  • Research articles: original research using computational methods to gain biological insight
  • Resource articles: new freely available tools, including software, databases or on-line tools
  • Analytical workflows: detailed description of complex bioinformatics analysis
  • Review articles: "state of the art" on bioinformatic/computational approaches to genome biology
